How to ban weapons on a WARDOGS server
WARDOGS has no built-in weapon blacklist for community servers. WARPANEL watches your kill feed and acts on the player when a kill comes from a weapon you've banned — about every ten seconds.
Set it up
- 1.Connect the kill feed and RCONBanned weapons reads kills from your kill feed. Messages, kicks and bans go through RCON.
- 2.Pick the weaponsSettings → Banned weapons: choose weapons and equipment from the list (with pictures), see which ones are used on your server, or add a kill-feed name by hand.
- 3.Choose the first stepSend a private message, put the player on the watchlist, warn them (message plus a warning in their notes), kick or ban.
- 4.Choose what happens next timeAfter a message, warning or watchlist, a second kill with a banned weapon can kick or ban — within an hour, a day, a week or ever.
What it does and doesn't see
- It sees kills, not loadouts: a player carrying a banned weapon without getting a kill isn't touched.
- Kills in the same minute as the first step (one grenade, several kills) count as one.
- Your own team is never messaged, kicked or banned by it.
- Every action lands in the Log, and staff can be told in Discord.
Questions
Can I ban grenades or launchers too?
Yes. The list has weapons and equipment from the WARDOGS item database, and any kill-feed name can be added by hand.
Should I ban straight away?
Start with a message or a warning and let “if they do it again” kick or ban. New players often don't know the server's rules.
